Switich from Norton’s Hag-Ware. So far so good/
Three months now on my WIndows 10 laptop, an older Windows 10 desktop and an Android phone. So far so good. It was a fairly straightforward install on all teh devices. Not see many marketing pop-ups which is why Ieft Norton after 25 years. It just runs innocuosly in the background.Haven’t tried it yet on my linux file server.Watch for connectivitiy problems though–I lost my Google cloud drive link becuase of the Bitdefender (BD) firewall. I needed to set up an exemption in BD firewall rules for the Google Drive install software–works fine now.The VPN is not very useful due to a daily data cap of 200 MB. It might serve some for banking but if you’re connected to a brokerage service or the like you’ll blow through the daily cap. I have my own VPN service so not an issue for me.And the price was for 2 years.

Been using Bitdefender Total Security for over a year and i love it. Easy to install and setup. Great for PC Gaming Setups. Block’s incoming threats when your surfing the net & has a lot of security features. I love it when it notifies me if i have any windows 10 or any kind of update for my computer. One of the best parts of the software is “Activate profiles automatically” area. Automatically activates the right profile based on your current activity and running applications. So if your playing Video Games on your PC and if you set the “Game Profile” Configure and at the bottom check box “Real-time optimization” it will improve performance in real-time and eliminates interruptions while “Gaming Profile” is turn on. You can even Turn on Activate profiles “Automatically” so you don’t have to keep clicking on what Profile to use if your watching a movie, using your e-mail, Battery mode profile or Public WiFi (Wi-Fi). Bitdefender Total Security Support Center is great to use if you have any info that you would like ask. You can E-mail them or Call if you have any problems. You cant bet this price. I use to have Norton Security for the longest time and had a little trouble using it and all ways had virus still come in when i surf the net & it will slow down my PC when i came. Bitdefender is my number one Total Security and hope it keep getting better. FOR GAMER!!! MUST READ!The Utilities area is great. Has a One click “Optimizer” for remove unnecessary files one easy step. “Disk Cleanup” to clean your device from large files that take up a lot of space on your device. “Startup Optimizer” to boot faster by removing or delaying the start of your installed applications and a Anti-Theft protect what you store on your device in case of loss or theft. Bitdefender has some great Privacy Features like password manager, Data Protection,File Encryption, Safepay, Video & Audio Protection, Parental Advisor and Anti-Tracker and VPN that i here every one is using but you have to pay a little more but it is worth the money.

Mixed Results
I’ve had this product installed for more than a month now and I can report mixed results. Overall it seems to be a powerful system that progressively blocks and attacks any threat to your system. There are multiple features that you can turn on that basically scans and views every transaction that occurs on your computer. That said, the price you pay for this is a great reduction in the speed of doing anything on your computer, from checking emails to visiting common websites. What used to take five seconds now may take ten or fifteen. In addition, Bitdefender often seems to block well-known websites for no reason at all, including a bank I’ve used for years. Their tech folks are a par above however and are pretty responsive in trying to resolve your issues. I guess it’s a situation of where you can’t have both speed and total safety.Update Feb. 2024- this has become much worse- now bogging down my computer to the point that it almost can’t be used. I’ve opened a couple of cases with their friendly customer service and tried everythign they suggested- but nothing works. I guess this might fortress of protection is too much for my simple computer so I’m removing it all.

Recibes en un pequeño sobre de cartón una tarjeta, en la cual debes de raspar y encontrar el código de activación; sigues las instrucciones y en 5 minutos tienes esta excelente protección antivirus que no decepciona. Estoy en México y me funcionó todo bien y al 100.

Was a bit surprised to receive a printed out letter with with code and instructions (rather than an ‘official’ Bitdefender voucher card, or something similar), and was worried it might be a scam.However, went to the official Bitdefender homepage, created an account, entered the code, which was immediately recognised and installed the software – all is perfect.So, don’t immediately be put off when you open the package.
