Great camera thatâs easy to use
I bought this in prep for an upcoming dive trip, so will review it as such in combination with the waterproof case.Without the waterproof case the camera mounted fine on my motorcycle. The magnetic mount makes it easy to clip in. Turn it on, hit record, and go. It takes 5 minute clips that are easily stitched together in any video editor.With the waterproof case, I mounted it on my scuba mask for a first person point of view video. Worked great. Turn on, mount, press record, and dive. 40 feet with no leaks and no problems.I will be under four hours each day, so I bought batteries and charger to swap out when I surface. A word of caution here. Get DJI batteries. Third party batteries will fit, but the camera will error out, as will the charger. Use the branded batteries and save yourself the headaches. Get an extra SD card as well. At 4k, you can fit an hourâs video on a 256gb card with no trouble – maybe 2 hours. Swap while swapping battery and offload the videos while youâre on your next dive.As I will be in riskier conditions on this dive trip, the ability to shut off the front display is another benefit to me.Video and photo quality were excellent. Controls were easy, even with gloves. Very happy with this purchase.

Great camera for skiing
The DJI Osmo Action 3 is a fantastic choice for capturing skiing adventures. The video quality is impressive, with crisp 4K footage that truly captures the beauty of the slopes. What I love most is the RockSteady stabilizationâit keeps everything smooth, even when youâre flying down the mountain or hitting bumps along the way. Itâs also incredibly durable, holding up well in cold, snowy conditions without any issues. Plus, itâs waterproof, so I never worry about it getting wet, and it is fun to take to the beach. Awesome camera!!!
DJI osmo action 3 is a wonderfull product, has a great image quality, great photos with a wonerfull color of 10bit. Camera performs amazing and does overheat when using it at full specs, but does not shut down like go pro does. I use it for my motorcycle rides and underwater videos and the underwater performance is outstanding ð. Nothing more to add it’s a 10 out of 10.

Well I’m pretty disappointed right now… I turned the camera on and it goes to a black screen with text directing me to download the Mimo app on my phone to connect the camera to it (fine, whatever). The really annoying part about this is that it also says you can only skip the connecting to your phone step 5 times (factory reset on the camera does not reset that count) before it just won’t let you go past that screen. I opened the app, which I already had for use with my Pocket 2 (awesome product, highly recommend), but it couldn’t find the camera. I navigated to the camera settings and found an option to troubleshoot connection issues, followed a couple procedures as it recommends, and had no luck. I then did some searching online and it turns out that to connect to the camera you need to have a phone with Android 13 OS (I have a Galaxy S10+, which stopped updating at Android 10). Now I’m 3 power cycles away from being stuck with a brick until I shell out at least another few hundred dollars for another phone. I reeeeally wish there was some text on the page for this product (or even in the connection troubleshooting walkthrough on the camera itself) that warned people about this. Hopefully people with any Galaxy phone preceding the S20 sees this review before they pull the trigger.I plan to update my review after I upgrade my phone, so that it reflects the quality of the camera itself. But unless it absolutely blows me away, I don’t think I can give it more than 4 stars due to this frustrating inconvenience.

Your money goes a long way with this camera
I spent a few days learning about this camera and comparing it to gopros 9-11 before deciding to buy it.I have it mounted on my motorcycle helmet in the vertical position while I ride.Mostly I record in the 4:3 ratio, 4k 30fps, ultra-wide fov with rocksteady on. With those settings the battery lasts roughly two and a half hours and fills up about half a 256gb SD card. Which is perfect for what I use it for.ISO settings can be subjective. I preferred setting ISO to auto range from 100-400 compared to the recommendation of 100-800. Even on cloudy days It looks great. Shutter speed set to auto since I move from sunny to shaded environments while riding.I was not particularly pleased with the picture quality on this camera however. Compared to a galaxy s21, the phone beats it every time.The mic quality isn’t going to blow you away but its surprisingly clear, the exhaust and engine sounds can be clearly heard over the wind noise. If your in a wind free environment you wont need a external mic setup really. I will be ordering the DJI wirless mic setup in the future.Changing settings and presets can be done in seconds, even if its the first time your using this camera, the magnetic quick release mount is awesome, if you only have one battery the fast charge feature is an added bonus the gopro doesn’t have.I was a little disappointment with the video quality after exporting and uploading to Instagram, @sum_roadster if you would like to see for yourself. Raw footage is crisp and clear.Are there better cameras out there with better video quality? Yeah probably, but not for $270. If you just want to throw this on a helmet and go this is the best bang for your buck.

Ho acquistato questa Action 3 DJI all’inizio dell’Estate, anche se c’èra già la Action 4 ho preferito questa per la maggiore risoluzione delle foto e per il prezzo davvero conveniente (199 â¬) ! Davvero sorprendente la resa in video, nitida e con colori molto belli e saturi. Ho acquistato anche l’aggancio per manubrio bici (che va bene su qualsiasi tubolare … vedi la foto) che è di grande qualità costruttiva e una seconda batteria. Ho anche la custodia subacquea e le riprese sub sono bellissime ! L’ecosistema DJI è ben integrato dalle App, la MIMO che consente il controllo da remoto col vostro smartphone e l’App Light Cut che consente ottimi montaggi video delle vostre clip anche da smartphone o meglio da un tablet. Consiglio di fare clip molto brevi (5-10 sec) per usare i template di LightCut al meglio, ottenendo brevi video molto dinamici con due passaggi ! Potete però fare anche clip più lunghe e affidarvi all’editor video completo per realizzare video di qualunque durata. Il comparto fotografico (RAW+JPEG) non è all’altezza probabilmente nemmeno della camera del vostro smartphone, ma comunque è utilizzabile per integrare la parte video. Le riprese con poca luce soffrono di un pò di “rumore” (alti ISO), ma comunque sono utilizzabili, anche se una Action Cam non nasce certo per riprese “notturne” per le quali è meglio usare videocamere con un sensore più grande. Adesso è uscita la Action 5, ma questa Action 3 la consiglio ancora assolutamente come rapporto Q/P è superiore e sicuramente preferibile alla serie GoPro. Se trovate il pacchetto Adventure il prezzo è ancora più conveniente.
